We recently switched to CubeSmart from another local storage facility. CubeSmart allowed us to do everything online, including chatting with someone to answer pricing and availability questions in real time, as well as allowed us to go directly to our unit without needing to stop by the front office first (an introvert's dream). When we got to the facility, it was clean and well maintained. Access is easy, there were plenty of carts to use (6 total), elevators were quick, and hallways were clean (still smelled fresh). Our individual unit was immaculate. The staff made sure it was swept and clean as well as provided a welcome bag with some information and a lock. If you are using a trailer, there isn't a way to circle the building to avoid backing up. But, the few times I have gone with a trailer so far, there is plenty of space to pull to the side and maneuver as needed. We've been there when there was a large cargo box truck and a few vehicles near the facility doors and I still had room to maneuver the trailer. Other things that were nice to have were clean restrooms, working A/C, and dehumidifiers. These are often overlooked, but our prior unit didn't have public restrooms nor dehumidifiers.

Came to help my grandparents move in and the service they received was amazing. The CubeSmart location is brand new and conveniently located. The check in process can be done online or at the office. The office staff, Tim was very helpful. There was a slight snag in that I selected a certain size storage unit and ended up with a smaller one. But that was easily rectified at the office. Overall the experience was great.

It was clean comfortably air-conditioned much more so than than a farmer place I had anyway it was. It was just so nice. I do want to do. I think you said there was a loading dock like we have a truck that we rent from from Lowe’s. Let me know thank you very much. And everyone there well the people the customers as well as the lady that showed us that the cube was great sorry I haven’t had sleep. I’ve always somewhere between 24 and 48 hours so this may sound crazy.

Latest Review: Okay, as of today 10/28/24, I am making the final edit of my review. I was a bit irritated when I first edited it several weeks ago. I’ve always believed in customer service and taking care of the client, which many companies seem to have forgotten about. However, I was too quick to edit my review based on Kim, and just one conversation or misunderstanding. I can admit my mistakes ?? I have been a Cube Smart customer for roughly 3 years, or practically since this location first opened. Tim was working here then, and was the first person I met. I have to give him credit because he has personally gotten involved with me and my account on a few occasions, and has gone over and above to help me whenever he could. The misunderstanding that caused my previous review took place when Tim was out of town on vacation; otherwise I’m convinced it would not have happened. Tim is sharp, considerate, helpful and I have to say the best storage unit employee I’ve come across. I’m sure Kim is very nice as well, but I happen to know Tim better as I’ve dealt with him for years. Unfortunately he does not make the policies, and like most businesses, their number one concern is profit! Once you are a loyal client, many companies seem to consistently raise prices! And though I understand the business perspective, I also feel customer loyalty should be rewarded. So while they are offering a half-off sale for new clients right now, Cube Smart raised my rent!! BUT, Tim stepped in and he helped me. Obviously I didn’t get the half off special, but they did allow me to keep my current rent payment the same, which I’m grateful for, because I haven’t worked in a couple of years, as I’ve been caring for my elderly mother since she lost her husband… and with prices everywhere so insanely high, every little bit helps. So, thank you again Tim. I appreciate you, and I really hope you get a raise. ?? New (edited) review: I am editing my review, as of 9/7/24. Apparently a new manager, Kim has taken Vanessa’s’ place. Kim called me today and was curt and unfriendly- a shock to me, and unusual from the way I’m used to being treated. Because of this experience, which I will not go into detail about, I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 2. And the only reason I’m giving 2 is because of Tim, and Vanessa who is no longer there, but they were helpful in the past. I’ve been a CubeSmart customer for years, with two storage units at this location, spending hundreds of dollars every month! But there are plenty of other storage places who will appreciate my business, since apparently Kim, the new manager at this location, does not! This is original review: The cube smart I have my storage unit in is great! The staff has worked with me on different occasions- they actually got movers to move all of my belongings into a different unit, when my storage unit door malfunctioned, and they even lowered the price for me! What a super friendly staff! The Lakeland Highlands Florida team members were helpful on the phone and even checked in with me in person when I was meeting with the moving company - so thoughtful! A pretty decent storage place, there's inside and outside facing units and an elevator. We've seen roaches before and a wasp inside the building, but when brought to managements attention they set up a time to come check out our unit just to make sure we didn't store stuff that might be causing them to come to our unit (it wasn't us, we had no food and mostly plastic boxes/bags instead of cardboard boxes, and had no bug problems before moving our stuff in). There's 7 or 8 flat carts available for use,but it has never been an issue for us to grab one, since it's USUALLY pretty empty in there. Also they went up on the unit rent with only a 30 day warning and while that's technically the legal limit, I think it's slimy.

I did everything online including signing the lease. I did it on Thursday to start on Friday. The staff put a welcome bag in my unit with the lock. They were kind enough to cut the plastic that the lock and keys were in, so it was easy to get everything out of the plastic clam packaging. I downloaded the App which has everything you need. I didn't notice the map of the facility. It says there is one but I clicked on map and it was Google maps on how to get there. The facility map is an attachment in the email you get, not in the app unless I just can't find it. That's ok because once I located it getting to and from the elevator was a breeze. The place is a maze inside, there are so many storage units. I went in first without anything just to locate the unit and get the bag. It's my fault for not seeing the attachment in my email. The facility and the unit were very clean. Online pricing is pretty good. There's no gate to get in but the building itself is passcode secure. Every person who signs a lease get their own personal passcode. My only possible issues are; the entrance doors with parking and getting in and out with Sam's Club traffic. There really isn't much parking for unloading your belongings other than right in front of the door. 2 cars, trucks or SUVs fit comfortably there and still be able to get stuff in or out. 3 will fit there but if you're getting things in and out of the backseat it will be difficult. There is actual parking spots for those that are just there to help load and unload. The traffic at Sam's Club and people who rudely block intersections could make it difficult to get in and out. There should have been a driveway made from Lakeland Highlands to get in and out. Overall it was really easy to get a unit, sign the contract and pay online. Everything I needed was in an email, on the app and in my storage unit. The facility is clean. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is they didn't think through the traffic issue and the lack of a place to park the vehicle you're loading or unloading. Update after moving out because I no longer needed a storage unit. The storage facility is clean, there are multiple sized units to choose from. You get in and out without having to interact with anyone. You can go in even if the office is closed. I moved out when the office was closed and was busy the next day. Before I could get around to calling the office, they called me. I appreciate that they pay attention and keep the facility safe.

1st off I made Reservations at another storage facility 2 mins from my home, but after making Reservations there within 4 days they jack my price from $85 to $142. So then I discovered the Wonderful Folks at Cube Smart only 10mins from my home, Great prices, Brand New Building, so clean, organized,A/C, well lit & Polite, Friendly staff, As a senior we sometimes struggle learning new things, but not at Cube Smart Tim is Awesome will explain & show you everything ??. Way too expensive. I don’t find the business policies encouraging to either continue doing business with cube smart or to even recommend CubeSmart. The staff are awesome , but I suspect the business strategy is one of pursuing high yield and not geared towards a price sensitive market. While I respect the strategy, I chose CB simply because of proximity to my temporary home. I will be moving out of the storage as soon as I find a more price friendly storage facility
