Quick. Fast. Clean. Great office staff. The only thing is forced monthly “Protection Plan” not added into the online estimate ranging from $12-$27. Still, cheaper than most Storage places.

There should be a valid argument for rating 1 star. My 5x10 was $42, $44, $46 for a few yrs. But then cube bought that location. While increases are inevitable, this is extortion. From $46, to $57 in one yr, and now $82 the next year. Silver lining though. I've spent the time, cleaned out, and they now have one more vacancy. I thank them for paining me enough to take an action.

Place was dirty when I moved my stuff in, but they expected it to be pristine when I moved out. My stuff was in storage for 5 months, but somehow still managed to get wet inside and dirtied my new mattress. Manager was a little harsh with words and right away they upped my rent. Had 3 doors but could only open one??? Made it difficult to get things in and out. Meh. Location ok, a bit sketchy.

We rented an outdoor unit to store furniture in for about nine months. At first, our rental experience was great. The manager who was there at the beginning was friendly, helpful, and explained that all we'd need to do to move out was give two weeks' notice once we were ready. A few months in, our rent went up unexpectedly with no notice. We had to reach out to ask about the change and were simply told that this was the new rate. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have some kind of heads up here. We went to check in on our unit in early summer, shortly after several dust storms rolled through the area. We found all of our items completely caked in a thick layer of dust, in addition to several large spider webs. We were disappointed in how poorly the unit seemed to be sealed, and this was the point where we realized we likely would not go with an outdoor storage unit again in the future. However, we saw no signs of flooding or water damage, so that was a positive. None of the issues above were a big deal to us, but the headache started when it came time to move out. We tried emailing our notice about a month in advance and never got a response, even after multiple attempts. Next, we tried calling the office and were never able to get through to talk to anyone. Finally, we visited the office in person to give our two weeks' notice. The new manager told us they had changed the system and that they no longer did any kind of prorating for your final month. The day we needed to move out fell two days outside of their "grace period" (which we were just hearing about now for the first time), so we ended up paying for almost a whole extra month where we weren't even using the unit. It was very disappointing that the policy not only changed with no notice at all, but that the manager was also very unwilling to make any kind of exception. With the service we received here, we will not be renting with Storage West again or recommending them to others.

Today I rented a 5' X 10' storage unit for the first time in years. I was very impressed with the facility but more than that the guy who took me in the golf cart to see the unit before I rented it (Todd) was very thorough explaining everything and a genuinely nice guy. I felt like he really cares about what he does for Storage West and wanted to make sure I felt good about the process and the unit I was renting. It was such a good surprise and I text my wife when I left telling her "this place is great!". AND, after researching A LOT of storage facilities, Storage West by far has the best rates.

Mike left, and someone else is there now. Someone not as helpful. When I mentioned that the price is higher than somewhere else I found nearby, the guy at the front desk just shrugged. So, I cancelled and went to the other guy! Front desk guy seemed busy though, so who knows. I liked the place better when Mike was around, he even had contacts for moving people, too.

Dishonest, manipulative and out to take your things at whatever the damage. Allowed my Ex to take my 3 units, that she was not allowed into for good reason and that cost me $600/month for 2+ years, and I was played and scammed into believing my items were secure and safe.. I've never been cheated or lied to face to face on a professional level and I warn anyone that your possessions are not safe nor even yours with this company... Im filing a lawsuit as we speak for nearly $850000 in property stolen and damages incurred as a result. PUBLIC BEWARE... NOT AN ETHICAL CORPORATION
